Methods — literature protocol

This is a literature synthesis, not a new laboratory measurement. Methods here mean: how sources were found, how claims were classified, and how figures were generated.

  1. Parallel web/literature search for: Unruh 1981, Visser acoustic metric, Barceló Liberati Visser Living Review, Weinfurtner stimulated Hawking, Steinhauer BEC Hawking, sonic black hole Wikipedia (orientation only).
  2. Full-text extraction from PMC Living Review (DOI 10.12942/lrr-2011-3) and arXiv gr-qc/0505065 landing page.
  3. DOI verification: every DOI in the citation table was taken from publisher/arXiv pages, not invented from memory.

Figure generation

python3 scripts/make_figures.py

Produces deterministic SVG figures under site/static/images/ with svg.hashsalt = "dumbhole-v1" and stripped Date metadata for reproducible diffs.

What we did not do

  • No BEC or water-flume experiment on this host (no cryogenics / flume hardware).
  • No claim of new observational data.
  • No invented DOIs or fabricated quote attribution.
